The Texas Public Information Act (”TPIA”) gives the public the right to request access to information maintained by Harris County Hospital District d/b/a Harris Health (“Harris Health”).

Please note that a TPIA request may only ask for records or information that is already in existence. The TPIA does not require Harris Health to create new information, to do legal research, or to answer questions.
If you are seeking information from Harris County, or any of its departments, or from a Harris County elected official, you should contact those offices directly, as Harris County is a separate legal entity from Harris Health.
Nota: Any costs associated with your request will be processed in accordance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 552, and the Attorney General Cost Administrative Rules.
